Job summary

The Laura Hotel in Houston, TX, part of HEI Hotels & Resorts, seeks a Director of Operations to oversee Rooms, Food & Beverage, financing, sales and marketing, spa, and maintenance. You will step in for the General Manager when needed and drive guest satisfaction and financial performance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of hotel operations management, strong leadership, and excellent communication. This is an on-site role with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within HEI.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of management experience, preferably in both rooms and F&B.
• Computer literacy and financial management required.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead all operational managers to success on daily, weekly, monthly and annual action plans related to property strategic plan.
• Plan, organize, facilitate, attend, and/or participate in various hotel and departmental meetings.
• Develop and manage execution of Rooms/F&B division budgets and revenue forecasts.
• Interview, hire, train, develop, evaluate performance, and discipline staff as appropriate.
• Contribute as a member of the Executive Committee to achieve financial objectives.
