Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of departmental rules, regulations and procedures related to residential facilities and services.
• Ability to plan, assign and supervise professional and support staff in residential facilities.
• Strong written and oral communication for administrative reports.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and operate residential facilities programs including resident care, staff training and facility maintenance.
• Oversee contract monitoring activities related to facility operation and service delivery.
• Assist in developing new residential services with managers and health providers.
• Evaluate health care program effectiveness and implement improvements.
• Inspect facilities to ensure contractual and legal compliance, including food service, custodial work and maintenance.
• Participate in conferences with social workers and others involved in resident care; may serve on health regulatory bodies.
• Review business management activities, approve purchases/payments, draft correspondence and prepare reports.
• Perform other related work as required.
