Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is seeking a Director of Research Business Operations to lead the strategy for research commercialization, industry partnerships, and sponsored clinical trials. You will partner with senior leaders to prioritize opportunities, drive execution, and ensure financial viability and governance across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline required; MS/PhD a strong plus; MBA preferred but not required.
• Seven or more years in research business operations, business development, partnerships, commercialization, or sponsored research; ten years preferred.
• Experience structuring and negotiating complex collaborative agreements; financial terms.
• Strong understanding of clinical research, contracts, budgeting, and commercialization processes.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development and partnership strategy for research commercialization and industry-sponsored research.
• Lead planning and initiation of portfolio of clinical trials and research collaborations; manage timelines, budgeting, site coordination, and risk.
• Negotiate clinical trial agreements and research collaboration agreements with counsel and administration; develop budgets.
• Develop financial strategies, forecasts, pricing frameworks, and negotiation parameters for sponsored research.
• Establish cross-functional staffing plans and strategic relationships to support growth of trials and collaborations.
• Lead enterprise-wide governance and cross-functional initiatives with legal, marketing, research, and operations leadership.
