Pittsburgh Public Schools seeks a Director of Research and Evaluation to lead the district’s data, research, and analytic reporting within the DREA division. The role ensures timely, clear analytic products and evaluation reports, supports instructional leadership, and guides evidence‑based decisions.

The director chairs governance for privacy and research standards while translating findings for non‑technical audiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; additional qualifications and years of experience expected based on function needs.
Experience in research, evaluation, and data reporting is preferred.
Ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.

Responsabilités

Lead and manage research studies, program evaluations, and analytic reports from planning through execution.
Oversee district insight reporting and administration of survey platforms.
Create, maintain, and update dashboards and interactive data reports; address ad hoc data requests.
Set work plans, timelines, and deliverables; provide training to improve use of data tools.
Supervise, hire, and evaluate staff; monitor performance and ensure quality and timeliness.
Coordinate across departments to balance workload and align with district priorities.
