Job summary

AVIR Health Group in Cotulla, TX is seeking a qualified Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our rehabilitation department. This role focuses on resident care, staff development, and regulatory compliance, with a strong emphasis on building a collaborative facility culture.

COTA or PTA preferred. The DOR will supervise therapists, manage schedules, ensure timely evaluations and documentation, and partner with referrals to support quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading rehabilitation teams and driving patient care outcomes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with regulatory awareness.
• Proven ability to manage staff, referrals, and departmental budgets.

Responsibilities

• Achieve patient care, staff relations, customer service, and financial objectives through strong leadership.
• Oversee the implementation of established therapy plans of care.
• Management of scheduled treatment days, per the Plan of Care, for patients, on a daily basis.
• Track admissions/discharges to schedule evaluations and complete discharge summaries.
• Ensure Therapists complete documentation properly and timely.
• Monitor productivity of therapists, labor hours, flextime, and overtime.

Responsibilities for Director of Rehabilitation(DOR) :

• Achieve specific patient care, employee relations, customer service, and financial objectives through strong leadership and effective management of staff, customers, and referral sources.

• Oversee the implementation of established therapy plans of care.

• Management of scheduled treatment days, per the Plan of Care, for patients, on a daily basis.

• Track admissions and discharges, to ensure appropriate scheduling of evaluating therapists for timely completion of evaluations and discharge summaries.

• Ensure Therapists complete documentation properly and completely, in a timely manner.

• Monitor productivity of therapists, labor hours, flextime, and overtime.

Qualifications for Director of Rehabilitation(DOR) :

• Level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired specific to discipline.

• Demonstrates leadership, organization, and communication expertise.
