Job summary

New York Racing Association seeks a Director of Racing Relations to lead engagement with owners, trainers, and jockeys, and to design a data-driven loyalty program. The position requires 8–10+ years in racing or gaming, strong leadership, and deep industry knowledge, with on-site work primarily at NYRA venues.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in Thoroughbred racing, racing operations, or gaming industry relations.
• Deep knowledge of the horse racing or gaming industry and participant needs.
• Experience designing or managing loyalty, rewards, or customer engagement programs.
• Strong analytical skills with ROI modeling.
• Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional initiatives and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead NYRA’s senior relationship for owners, trainers and jockeys, building trust-based partnerships.
• Design and refine the NYRA Racing Rewards program and tiered recognition structure.
• Collaborate with NYRA Bets and other stakeholders to value participation across meets.
• Provide on-site premium hospitality experiences for racing participants at Belmont Park and Saratoga.
• Partner with BI teams to develop data infrastructure for participant tracking and program performance.
• Work with Racing Office, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Security to ensure seamless execution.
