Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of West Memphis is seeking a Director of Quality and Risk Management to oversee patient care quality, risk reduction, and regulatory compliance in a psychiatric hospital setting.

The role requires a nursing background with a Bachelor's degree, a preferred Master’s in psychiatric nursing, and at least one year of leadership experience in behavioral health. Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and state/federal regulations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing; Master’s degree in psychiatric nursing or related field preferred.
• Minimum one year experience; nursing administration and/or dedicated leadership experience in psychiatric setting preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, Medicare, OSHA regulations and all other state and federal regulatory standards preferred.
• CPR and Handle with Care certification; at least one year experience in an acute behavioral health hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff deliver care per Standards of Care and Practice.
• Implement unit policies and procedures; act as a resource to staff.
• Ensure unit compliance with regulatory standards and patient rights.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and plan improvements.
• Coordinate processes for legal patient information handling.
• Maintain Safety and Risk Management policies on the unit.
• Investigate unusual occurrences and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with case management to ensure timely quality care.
• Attend Nurse Managers meetings and report PI/NPS data.
