Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Director of Quality & Risk Management to lead quality, risk, regulatory readiness, and performance improvement at a post-acute rehabilitation hospital in California. You will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to advance patient outcomes.

You will oversee quality initiatives, monitor metrics, coordinate surveys, investigate incidents, and develop policies to ensure CMS and Joint Commission compliance while supporting organizational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead all quality management, risk management, and performance improvement activities
• Ensure compliance with CMS regulations, Joint Commission standards, and applicable healthcare regulations
• Develop, monitor, and analyze quality indicators and patient safety metrics
• Coordinate hospital-wide accreditation and regulatory survey readiness efforts
• Investigate and manage risk-related events, incidents, and corrective action plans
• Facilitate performance improvement committees and quality initiatives
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to identify opportunities for operational and clinical improvement
• Develop policies, procedures, and programs supporting regulatory compliance
• Monitor outcomes and implement evidence-based quality improvement strategies
• Provide ongoing education and guidance regarding quality, patient safety, and risk management practices
• Support leadership in achieving organizational quality and operational goals
• Oversee departmental responsibilities and associated team members within the quality function
