Job summary

Aiken Regional Medical Centers seeks a Director of Quality Management to lead the Quality Outcomes Management Department, ensuring regulatory readiness and continuous improvement in patient care. You will coordinate with leadership and clinical teams to align quality initiatives with strategic goals.

The role requires strong expertise in regulatory standards, performance improvement methodologies, and data-driven decision making, with nursing leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; MS in Nursing preferred.
• 5-8 years of quality of related health care experience required; 10 years preferred.
• Experience with management in Regulatory and Accreditation preparedness preferred.
• Expert knowledge of health and safety management strategies, quality assurance and improvement.
• Expert knowledge of healthcare regulations and licensure requirements.
• Knowledge of Performance Improvement methodology and Outcomes Management.

Responsibilities

• Leads, plans, develops, implements and evaluates the ongoing regulatory preparedness structure and activities.
• Direct and coordinate organizational compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with leadership, medical staff and stakeholders.
• Directs Quality Improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with standards (national/state/JC, CMS, AHRQ).
• Guides team management on quality improvement concepts and problem-solving tools.
• Collaborates with EMR team to develop disease management protocols and technology strategies.
• Directs, coordinates documents, and accounts for all system-wide Quality Improvement Program activities.
• Develops and leads process improvement programs for monitoring and improving patient care quality.
• Uses quality assessment results to improve care outcomes.
• Coordinates onsite survey processes with regulatory agencies.
• Assists in creating and reporting quality improvement data for internal and external reporting.
