Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) is seeking a Director of Quality Improvement to plan, direct, and coordinate quality and patient safety programs across BSWH hospitals, clinics, and ambulatory facilities. The role focuses on zero preventable harm and improving health care processes through metrics, data testing, trending, and reporting.

The director partners with clinical staff, operations, and leadership to implement strategic plans, manage staffing and budgets, and ensure regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, nursing, business, or related field.
• Master’s degree highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the quality improvement function for assigned area of responsibility for BSWH.
• Direct and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including patient safety, infection prevention, nursing, risk management, and medical staff.
• Direct, facilitate, and support hospital quality improvement and patient safety committees.
• Direct and guide process improvement teams and activities using quality and patient safety best practices, improvement tools, and standardization methods.
• Direct data monitoring, collection, testing, tracking and trending care processes to ensure safety, effectiveness, and efficiency.
• Partner with hospital and system teams to advance health initiatives.
• Direct quality improvement analytics, data validation, and data analysis activities.
• Direct the identification of real and potential safety concerns in BSWH facilities.
