Job summary

Shoals Technologies Group, a Nashville-area leader in EBOS solutions for solar and energy storage, is hiring a Director of Quality to advance our enterprise‑wide quality strategy. You will lead site quality teams, drive ISO 9001 excellence, and partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure world‑class quality across all facilities.

Expect to own QMS, drive CAPA and 8D processes, develop KPI dashboards, and mentor Quality Managers across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum of 5 years in a quality leadership role across multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; UL/IEC standards preferred.
• Proven quality tools knowledge: FMEA, SPC, Control Plans, 8D, CAPA, APQP; Six Sigma/CQE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the quality strategy across all Shoals manufacturing sites.
• Serve as executive owner of the QMS, maintain ISO 9001 certification.
• Lead site Quality Managers and Quality Engineers across facilities.
• Standardize quality processes and documentation for audit readiness.
• Own supplier quality strategy, audits, and SCAR processes.
• Lead CAPA, 8D, and root cause analysis for quality issues.
• Manage customer quality relations, complaints, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (UL, IEC).
• Develop and report quality KPIs to executive leadership.
• Drive Lean/Six Sigma culture across quality function.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain.
• Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Own quality department budget and staffing; travel 30–50%.
• Develop quality talent and succession planning across sites.
