Job summary

Snackish is seeking a Director of Quality to own our quality system across the U.S. and Canada, building scale and sustaining a culture of care on the floor. You will lead QA, ensure allergen control, sanitation, and shelf-life validation while partnering with R&D and Ops to bring new flavors to market.

You’ll drive audits, define testing protocols, and champion product consistency, with a focus on zero recalls and prevention over reaction.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on quality experience in food manufacturing (snacking, fried or baked goods preferred).
• Ability to build and scale a quality system from scratch or through major growth.
• Fluent in food safety and regulatory frameworks (GMP, HACCP, SQF, FDA, CFIA).
• Proven capability to recruit, train, and inspire a QA team and stop the line when needed.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality management system end to end—specifications, SOPs, CCPs, documentation, and corrective actions.
• Manage certifications and licensing calendar (SQF recertification, FDA facility registration, CFIA, state licenses).
• Oversee allergen control, sanitation, environmental monitoring, and shelf-life studies.
• Lead supplier and ingredient quality programs and incoming inspections with scorecards.
• Define sensory/specs for chip quality and build testing protocols for batch consistency.
• Own consumer complaints, traceability, and recall readiness.
