Job summary

Chomps, a leader in meat snacks, seeks a Director, FSQA – Supplier to guide supplier compliance and downstream data feedback for sensory analysis and customer experience. You will collaborate with procurement, R&D, manufacturing, and customer experience teams to drive continual improvement across the supply chain.

The ideal candidate has extensive FSQA leadership, robust regulatory knowledge, and a track record of CAPA-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years FSQA experience.
• Experience with USDA-FSIS and FDA processing requirements.
• HACCP/PCQI trained.
• Multi-site FSQA experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier onboarding and monitor supplier compliance with Chomps standards.
• Develop supplier relationships to enable continuous improvement.
• Resolve product safety or quality issues with root-case analysis and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with grass-fed, non-GMO, organic, paleo and gluten-free claims.
• Develop supplier scorecards and report supplier performance.
• Analyze downstream product quality data to prioritize improvements.
• Collaborate to build dashboards for data trends to support decisions.
• Support policies, procedures, RACI’s and systems for continuous improvement.
• Maintain centralized supplier documentation and address gaps with non-conforming suppliers.
• Ensure sensory program strategy across internal and co-manufacturer channels.
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet FSQA standards and drive improvements.
• Lead and mentor FSQA team members; travel as needed to suppliers and co-manufacturers.
