Job summary

The Judge Group, INC. is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager for an onsite role in the Fullerton, CA area. This aerospace-focused position requires managing QA teams, audits and supplier certification efforts to uphold AS9100 and NADCAP standards.

Responsibilities include improving the QMS through lean methods, ensuring compliance with FAA/ITAR, evaluating equipment testing, and leading internal audits. A BA/BS or 10+ years in aerospace QA is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or 10+ years of experience in an aerospace company in Quality Management.
• Extensive AS9100 and NADCAP experience including Heat Treat, NDT methods.
• Experience supervising Inspectors, Quality Engineers and NDT technicians.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality compliance, assurance and reduction of cost of poor quality.
• Lead lean manufacturing improvements to the QMS system.
• Evaluate precision and accuracy of equipment and testing.
• Develop standards for inspection, testing and evaluation.
• Maintain AS9100 and NADCAP certifications and perform internal audits.
• Support contract reviews and supplier LTA; drive FAA/ITAR compliance.
• Track quality trends, root-cause analysis and corrective actions; establish metrics.
• Manage budget and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

COMPENSATION

135k to 145k plus bonus

LOCATION

Fullerton, California area (Onsite position)

MUST HAVE

• BA/BS in a related discipline
• Extensive Aerospace manufacturing experience including managing customer audits, AS9100 Certification and NADCAP audits
• Experience managing Inspectors, Quality Engineers and NDT technicians

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage quality compliance, and assurance and reducing cost of poor quality
• Utilize lean manufacturing to implement improvements to the QMS system
• Evaluate precision and accuracy of equipment and testing
• Develop standards for inspection, testing and evaluation
• Push quality standards and supplier certification / monitoring
• Maintain AS9100 & NADCAP certifications
• Perform Internal Audits
• Support contract reviews (New contract awards and supplier LTA)
• Drive compliance with FAA, ITAR
• Correct MRB matters
• Review quality trendsTrack root cause and perform corrective actions
• Establish metrics (First pass yield, Scrap, Rework, Risk Management)
• Implement continuous improvement systems
• Manage budget

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors Degree or 10+ years of experience in an aerospace company in Quality Management
• Strong AS9100, NADCAP experience including Heat Treat, NDT - Penetrant, Mag, UT, etc
• OEM Quality Processes knowledge
• Metal manufacturing or forming experience
• ITAR approved
