Job summary

SilencerCo in West Valley City, UT seeks a Director of Supply Chain to lead the purchasing organization, backfill the purchasing manager seat, and own end-to-end strategic sourcing and supplier management. This build-and-run role matures purchasing practices with Lean/kanban, establishes supplier terms framework, and coordinates with Planning to keep buying aligned with production needs.

Responsibilities

Own overall purchasing strategy, budget, and performance across BOM materials, outside services, and consumables.
Develop and mentor Senior Buyer and Junior Buyer teams, including workload allocation.
Set purchasing policy and standard work to ensure consistent practices.
Manage supplier relationships for key/strategic suppliers, including escalations.
Lead negotiation strategy, contract structures, and payment terms with internal counsel.
Coordinate with Planning to align supplier lead times and production schedules.
Drive Lean principles and kanban/pull systems across the organization.
Ensure ATF/ITAR/EAR compliance and maintain supplier documentation.
Represent purchasing in executive-level reporting and cross-functional reviews.
Perform other duties to support the broader Supply Chain team.
