Job summary

Aspire Rural Health System is seeking a Director of Public Relations & Community Engagement to lead communications, stakeholder relations, and brand growth across the Marlette region.

The role requires a strategic leader with strong writing, presentation, and partnership-building skills, plus the ability to travel regionally and engage with communities in outreach and education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Two years of relevant professional experience; healthcare/public relations preferred.
• Previous management or leadership experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to develop strategic partnerships, collaborate across departments, and manage multiple initiatives.
• Professionalism, sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and cultural awareness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related computer applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with leadership and community stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel regionally and attend occasional evening/weekend events.

Responsibilities

• The Director serves as a key public representative, building community relationships, strengthening public trust, and increasing brand awareness.
• Develops strategic partnerships and leads community outreach and educational initiatives.
• Supports business development through market research, competitive analysis, and demographic data evaluation.
• Collaborates with leadership, Marketing, the Foundation, and stakeholders to advance Aspire's mission and growth.
