Job summary

Aspire Rural Health System is hiring a Director of The Heartlands in Marlette, MI. This full-time role leads daily operations, resident engagement, and regulatory compliance for a senior living community, driving growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate has a degree or equivalent experience in assisted living, CPR/First Aid certification, leadership ability, and knowledge of licensing and dementia care principles. Strong IT skills with Word/Excel/Outlook are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of experience in an assisted living or long-term care facility.
• Current CPR/First Aid certificate.
• Experience with elderly and those with dementia preferred.
• Must possess strong leadership skills.
• In-depth understanding of community development and operations; ability to initiate and lead startup/operational efforts.
• Knowledge of assisted living and memory care principles and licensing regulations.
• Knowledge of computer PC operations and software (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the community’s daily operations, employee relations, resident engagement and financial performance.
• Create and execute a strategy to become a preferred senior living community while growing revenue and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and organizational policies.
