Job summary

Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, NM (onsite) or remote in select US markets seeks a Director of Project Controls to lead the Project Controls Team, overseeing estimating, budgeting, and scheduling across large, complex projects in entertainment and construction.

You will implement standardized controls, mentor a scalable team, collaborate with Creative, Finance, Show and Ops, and translate business goals into actionable plans while managing risks, schedule, and cost to support creative vision.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of project management methodologies and managing diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• 10+ years in construction or themed entertainment overseeing estimating, scheduling/planning, or cost control.
• Experience managing domestic and international multi-faceted projects.
• Proven leadership in managing PM professionals and building high-performing teams.
• Proficiency with core industry tools such as P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Google Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication with the ability to partner with creative and executive leadership.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to balance schedule and budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project Controls Team across estimating, budgeting, and scheduling throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Mentor and develop a scalable team including the Scheduling/Planning Manager and Estimating Manager.
• Establish standardized project controls procedures, tools, and cost databases.
• Collaborate with Project Leadership, Creative, Finance, Show, and Operations to align strategies.
• Translate goals into actionable project plans and develop risk registers and analyses.
• Report project health to leadership and escalate critical risks as main contact.
• Implement best practices and leverage tools to enhance productivity in delivery.
• Build and maintain a historical cost database for better decision making.
