Job summary

Meow Wolf is seeking a Director of Project Accounting to lead the project accounting team, forecast budgets, and manage project costs across multiple exhibitions and facilities. You will partner with FP&A, Estimators, and Purchasing to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely budgets.

You will oversee cost management, develop dashboards, and present cost estimates to senior leadership, while ensuring adherence to Workday processes and contract terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management or related field.
• Master’s degree in Construction Management or MBA preferred.
• CPA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project accounting team and oversee project budget forecasting and cash flows.
• Coordinate with FP&A to ensure accurate capture of capital and operating expenses.
• Review forecasts and risks to provide mitigation solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and purchasing on budgeting and scheduling.
• Develop recurring stakeholder status reports on project progress and staffing needs.
• Oversee Exhibition development departments and expense trackers.
• Create and maintain reports on all aspects of project development and completion.
• Manage budget estimates for sustainment projects.
• Estimate costs for conceptual projects in early phases for financial analysis.
• Build cost comparison databases for exhibition and non-exhibition facilities (BOH).
• Review weekly/monthly cost reports for accuracy and trends.
• Review project labor tracking reports and resource plans.
