Job summary

Harvest House in Burleson, TX seeks a Director of Programs to strengthen existing services, develop staff, and implement scalable systems that improve client outcomes. You will lead Pantry and Client Aid teams, oversee budgets and grants, and build partnerships with churches and community partners to move families toward stability.

The role reports to the Executive Director, collaborates with the leadership team, and requires occasional evening/weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Prior program leadership or management experience in nonprofit, human services, or comparable environment.
• Experience supervising and developing staff with clear accountability conversations.
• Knowledge of program design/evaluation, including Logic Models, Theory of Change, outputs, outcomes, and measurable impact.
• Experience with budgets, grant-funded programs, compliance, data collection, and multiple deadlines.
• Strong project-management, judgment, communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to move between strategic leadership and hands-on execution when needed.
• A proactive, ownership-oriented leadership style and ability to operate in a collaborative environment.
• Commitment to Harvest House’s Christian mission, values, and restoration-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead program planning, budgets, metrics, grant compliance, data, and SOPs.
• Oversee food pantry, client aid, and other client-facing programs.
• Develop repeatable systems with clear 30/60/90-day milestones and owners.
• Build partnerships with churches, schools, and community partners.
• Ensure compliance with Health Dept, licenses, and reporting deadlines.
• Foster staff coaching, accountability, and professional development.
