Job summary

BMCHS is seeking a Director, PB Coding Operations & Education to lead coding oversight across the organization, ensuring accurate documentation, compliant coding and appropriate reimbursement. You will supervise coding staff and drive education programs for physicians and staff to maintain industry standards.

You will direct coding activities, conduct quality reviews, monitor productivity, and collaborate with Leadership and Compliance to act on documentation trends and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
• CPC certification required.
• Minimum 10 years related experience in professional coding with ICD-9/ICD-10, E/M and CPT.
• Previous management experience including education/mentoring/training.

Responsibilities

• Provide coding oversight and standards for accuracy and compliance.
• Direct coding activities to ensure compliant coding for all services.
• Lead education and training for providers and staff.
• Monitor department productivity and evaluate program strengths.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership on staffing and development.
• Identify trends in documentation and coding to drive improvements.
• Serve as contact for professional coding across the organization.
