Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Director/Senior Director of Product Science to lead the scientific credibility of real-world evidence and data discovery agents. You will work across product zones and pods to define concepts, problem statements, and evaluation strategies, ensuring high scientific standards for internal and external customers.

You will guide agent development, contribute to co-design with pharma and data ecosystem partners, and help translate scientific insights into product governance,

Qualifications

• Doctorate or master’s degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field.
• Professional research experience in real-world evidence (RWE), pharmacoepidemiology, HEOR, or related field.
• Strong command of observational study design, healthcare data, and analytic methods.
• Ability to drive progress across cross-functional product teams and negotiate timelines.
• Experience managing or matrix leadership to colleagues; coaching and feedback.
• Rigorous scientific judgment to RWE product development and outputs.
• Excellent scientific writing and communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Extensive experience with healthcare data types in RWE and tools like R/Python/Substantiate.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across scientific and product teams to ensure rigorous RWE workflows.
• Lead the design and evaluation of agentic workflows and scientific standards.
• Serve as SME in customer delivery of co-build/co-design scientific partnerships.
• Contribute to thought leadership through blogs, webinars, and scientific meetings.
• Support GTM with scientific insights and competitive intelligence.
