Job Description

Microvast is seeking a highly experienced Director of Product Marketing to join the Microvast team. The Director of Product Marketing is responsible for translating Microvast's technology and product capabilities into clear market value, differentiated positioning and effective commercial programs. The role owns global product positioning, messaging, market intelligence, launch marketing, sales enablement and brand execution, helping Business Development and Sales create and convert demand while ensuring every external claim is accurate, consistent and approved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the global product marketing plan aligned with Microvast's revenue priorities, product road map, capacity, target applications and strategic markets.
  • Translate CRO and business priorities into product, segment, geography, channel, launch and content objectives with measurable outcomes.
  • Prioritize marketing investment based on addressable demand, product readiness, strategic value, competitive differentiation and commercial timing.
  • Maintain an integrated annual calendar for launches, campaigns, trade shows, customer programs, content and sales-enablement releases.

2. Segmentation and Go-to-Market Planning

  • Define priority markets, applications, customer profiles, buying groups, use cases and value drivers for each product family.
  • Develop go-to-market plans covering target audience, positioning, route to market, proof requirements, launch sequence, content and field enablement.
  • Align plans with Business Development, Sales, OEM Management, Product Management, Operations and regional leaders before market activation.
  • Identify gaps between target-market needs and Microvast's product, certification, cost, localization, service or manufacturing readiness.

3. Positioning, Messaging and Value Proposition

  • Create differentiated positioning and value propositions based on verified customer outcomes, product capabilities, competitive alternatives and total economics.
  • Develop a consistent message architecture by company, product family, application, audience and stage of the customer journey.
  • Convert complex battery technology into clear business and technical messages for executives, engineers, purchasing teams, operators and partners.
  • Maintain an approved claims library with supporting evidence, owners, usage guidance and review dates for performance, safety, cost, sustainability and reliability claims.

4. Product Launch and Lifecycle Marketing

  • Lead the market-readiness workstream for product introductions, major updates, certifications, application expansions and commercial phase changes.
  • Establish launch gates covering audience, positioning, proof, pricing input, sales training, content, channel readiness, customer references and communications approvals.
  • Coordinate launch plans with Product Management, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Services, Legal and regional stakeholders.
  • Manage lifecycle messaging and content as products mature, improve, reposition or approach replacement, ensuring obsolete claims and materials are retired.

5. Sales, Business Development and OEM Enablement

  • Provide the revenue organization with current pitch decks, product briefs, application guides, case studies, comparison tools, objection handling and proof points.
  • Train Business Development, Sales, OEM Management, channel partners and relevant service personnel on value propositions, differentiation, use cases and approved claims.
  • Support priority customer workshops, RFQs, proposals and executive meetings with reusable content and account-specific message adaptation.
  • Create feedback mechanisms to identify missing tools, repeated objections, competitive gaps and content that materially improves opportunity progression.

6. Market, Customer and Competitive Intelligence

  • Build a structured intelligence program covering market size, growth, customers, competitors, products, pricing signals, regulations, incentives and technology trends.
  • Conduct customer, partner, analyst and field interviews to understand needs, decision criteria, buying processes, adoption barriers and unmet requirements.
  • Lead win-loss and no-decision analysis with Sales and Business Development and translate findings into positioning, product and commercial actions.
  • Deliver concise market and competitor updates to the CRO, Product Management, Engineering and revenue leaders with implications and recommended actions.

7. Brand, Content and Creative Governance

  • Maintain consistent product naming, visual identity, tone, terminology, templates and brand application across regions, business lines and channels.
  • Develop and govern high-quality website content, brochures, presentations, videos, technical-marketing materials, customer stories and campaign assets.
  • Ensure materials are technically accurate, current, audience-appropriate, translated where necessary and controlled through a documented review process.
  • Protect Microvast's credibility by preventing unsupported, outdated, inconsistent or unauthorized claims from reaching customers or the public.

8. Campaigns, Digital, Events and Demand Support

  • Plan integrated campaigns and market-development programs that support priority applications, launches, geographies and strategic-account objectives.
  • Manage product-marketing participation in trade shows, conferences, webinars, demonstrations, customer events and thought-leadership opportunities.
  • Establish lead-capture, qualification and routing rules so responses are assigned promptly to Business Development, Sales or OEM Management.
  • Measure content engagement, event performance, lead quality and commercial influence without claiming ownership of bookings or revenue closed by Sales.

9. Pricing, Packaging and Commercial Insight

  • Provide customer-value, competitor, application and willingness-to-pay insight to support pricing strategy and product or service packaging.
  • Develop value calculators, total-cost-of-ownership tools and business cases using assumptions validated by Finance, Product Management and technical functions.
  • Recommend packaging, option structure, service bundles and commercial messages that improve product clarity and value realization.
  • Do not issue quotations, approve discounts or make customer commitments; route commercial decisions through Sales, the Account Owner and the approval matrix.

10. Team, Budget and Process Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing product marketing team with clear product or market coverage, skills, objectives and succession plans.
  • Manage agencies, contractors, translation partners, creative vendors, event suppliers and the approved marketing budget.
  • Establish repeatable processes for briefs, reviews, approvals, asset management, localization, version control, launch readiness and performance reporting.
  • Promote customer curiosity, technical accuracy, commercial focus, brand discipline, global collaboration and measurable impact.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, engineering, communications or a related discipline required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.

Experience

  • Ten or more years of progressive B2B product marketing, strategic marketing, technical marketing or commercialization experience.

  • Demonstrated success developing positioning, go-to-market plans, launch programs, sales enablement and market or competitive intelligence for complex products.
  • Experience in batteries, electric vehicles, automotive, commercial vehicles, energy storage, industrial technology or advanced manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Experience marketing to technical, purchasing, executive and operating stakeholders across the United States, Europe and Asia is preferred.

Business, Marketing and Technical Knowledge

  • Strong command of segmentation, positioning, messaging, buyer research, product launches, content strategy, demand programs and sales enablement.
  • Ability to understand battery cells, modules, packs, BMS, thermal management, performance, safety and manufacturing sufficiently to create credible technical marketing.
  • Strong analytical capability in market sizing, competitive analysis, pricing research, win-loss analysis, campaign measurement and marketing-attribution limits.
  • Proficiency with CRM, content-management, digital-analytics, presentation, creative-workflow and asset-management tools.
  • Combines strategic market thinking with disciplined execution and a willingness to produce high-quality materials directly when needed.
  • Writes and presents with clarity, translating technical complexity into compelling and accurate customer value.
  • Builds alignment across technical, commercial and operating teams while respecting functional ownership and approval requirements.
  • Demonstrates customer curiosity, sound judgment, brand discipline, attention to detail, integrity and comfort with executive stakeholders.
  • Able and willing to travel globally for customer research, launches, events and revenue-team support as required.
