Beacon Biosignals seeks a Director of Product Design to lead a three‑designer design function spanning hardware to software and print media. You will shape the design strategy, empower teams, and ensure high‑quality experiences across devices and digital platforms.

This role emphasizes hands‑on contribution in the initial year while instituting scalable processes. You’ll partner with regulatory, quality, clinical operations, and logistics to ensure usable and compliant products.

Competenze

• 10+ years of product design experience, including 4+ years managing designers.
• Portfolio spanning hardware and software experiences.
• Experience in medical device space, clinical diagnostics, real‑world data or pharma/biotech.
• Familiarity with usability engineering and human factors practice (IEC 62366, FDA guidance).
• Strong coaching skills for senior individual contributors.
• Ability to balance hands‑on work with delegation and leadership.

• Lead and coach a team of three senior product designers, developing their craft and impact.
• Define and execute a vision for product design at Beacon and plan growth with the business.
• Operate as a player‑coach in the first year, performing design work to set high standards.
• Own prioritization across hardware, mobile, web, print, and business processes to avoid bottlenecks.
• Build cross‑functional connections with Device Engineering, Platform, Clinical Operations, Logistics, Support, and Quality.
• Establish design standards and reusable patterns to scale across the organization.
