Job summary

EvenUp is seeking a Director of Product Design to shape the future of our design practice. You will lead a small team of embedded designers, mentoring and growing the team while directing design for strategic initiatives with engineering, product, and AI.

The role is hybrid with at least 3 days per week in our San Francisco or Toronto hubs, and involves guiding a modular, fast-evolving platform including AI tools and workflow infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software product design.
• 5+ years of experience managing other designers.
• Proven ability to lead and scale a team, including hiring and developing talent.
• Experience designing B2B workflow tools and AI interfaces is a strong plus.
• Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication.
• Ability to drive clarity and ship high-quality work quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 4+ product designers.
• Drive hiring for open roles with design leadership.
• Partner with product, engineering, and data to define strategy and ship solutions.
• Balance management with hands-on design on critical projects.
