Director of Product Analytics

Compensation: $230,000 - $260,000 base + equity

A rapidly growing travel platform backed by top investors is looking for a Director of Product Analytics to lead its analytics team and embed a data-first culture across the organization. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will define and execute the analytics strategy, using advanced data science techniques to drive growth, retention, and revenue optimization.

About the Role

As the Director of Product Analytics, you will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Growth teams to develop insights that enhance user engagement, improve pricing strategies, and drive business performance. You will lead a high-performing analytics team, build scalable data solutions, and ensure data is a core driver of strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of product analysts, fostering a culture of experimentation, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Develop and oversee analytics frameworks for pricing, personalization, and lead scoring, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Design and implement A/B testing and causal inference models to assess product changes and optimize conversion rates.
  • Define and track key product and business metrics, ensuring data is used to measure and drive success.
  • Establish best practices for data governance and self-service analytics, making insights accessible and actionable across the organization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Growth, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering to identify opportunities and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Own the development of dashboards, reporting systems, and predictive models, ensuring teams have real-time insights to make informed decisions.
Who You Are
  • 10+ years of experience in product analytics, data science, or business intelligence, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Strong background in A/B testing, causal inference, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Expertise in SQL, Python, R, and experience with BI tools such as Looker or Sigma.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data insights into strategic business recommendations.
  • Experience in pricing optimization, lead scoring, and customer segmentation.
  • Background in B2B SaaS or the travel industry is a strong plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field required; Master’s or MBA preferred.
