TheRecruiting Pros is actively recruiting a Director of Procurement/Sourcing in Charlotte, NC for a leading manufacturer. You will source domestically and internationally, manage a small team, and drive end-to-end supply chain strategies to support new product development and innovation.

You will forecast demand, manage supplier performance, and balance cost, quality, and lead times using SAP, EPICOR, and advanced Excel. This role offers visibility across departments and travel may be required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience sourcing a mix of components in manufacturing.
• 3+ years experience managing a team of direct reports.

DIRECTOR OF PROCUREMENT/SOURCING

Location: Charlotte, NC

Pay: $98 - $105k salary plus bonus potential andgreat benefits

The role of Director ofProcurement/Sourcing gives you high visibility throughout the organization asyou work closely with colleagues in product development, materials management, engineering,quality, and accounting. You will beresponsible for s ourcing vendors domestically andinternationally to secure raw materials, tooling and MRO to support new productdevelopment and innovation. You will conceptualizeend-to-end supply chain strategies to manage many touch points including logistics,pricing, delivery schedules, quality of goods and inventory levels using SAPand other purchasing systems to accurately forecast supply demands and ensure on-timedelivery. In this role you will lead byexample and direct a small team of Buyer/Planners.

Havingthe ability to take a hands-on approach to managing complex projects and providingtimely communication backed by data is critical to success in this position. This position will give you a mix oftask-driven duties as well as the opportunity to suggest process improvementalong the way.

Routineresponsibilities will require you to:

• Develop and maintain global relationships with sourcing partners,vendors, suppliers
• Negotiate win-win supplier/vendor agreements to maximize qualityand quantity
• Contribute to product development regarding supplier sourcingpartnerships
• Leverage spend data to identify strategic sourcing opportunitiesand implement demand planning processes
• Participate in the research, development, and design of long-rangestrategic objectives for future operational improvements
• Develop and implement systems that measure, track, and analyzesupplier performance and compliance to negotiated terms and conditions
• Guide and review relationships of Buyer/Planners with existingsuppliers
• Manage RFQ process with new suppliers
• Some travel may be required

Required experience:

• Bachelor’sdegree required in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics;MBA preferred
• 5+years’ experience sourcing a mix of components, hardware, fasteners and/ortextiles in a manufacturing environment
• 5+years experience managing complex projects from start to finish
• 3+years experience managing a team of direct reports
• 3+years experience using SAP and APICS related to supply chain, procurement,materials management and inventory management
• Abilityto balance costs, quality, lead-times and reliability for all materials andservices purchased
• Commandof negotiation planning and executing of strategies
• Strongcommunication skills both written and verbal
• Proficientin using an MRP system – specifically EPICOR – and Microsoft Excel
