Job summary

AmeriLife seeks a Director of Privacy to lead the enterprise privacy program and ensure compliance with state and federal laws across its insurance distribution network. You will partner with Compliance, Legal, IT, Data, Operations, Marketing, HR, and Vendor Management to manage collection, use, sharing, retention and protection of personal information.

The role requires 5–10 years of privacy or compliance experience, preferably in insurance or securities, and strong communication skills to

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5–10 years of relevant privacy/compliance experience.
• Experience in insurance or financial services preferred.
• Strong knowledge of privacy laws (GLBA, HIPAA, CCPA).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the enterprise privacy program.
• Ensure compliance with GLBA, HIPAA, Reg S-P, CMS privacy rules, CCPA/CPRA.
• Lead privacy risk assessments and monitor risk indicators.
• Coordinate privacy incident response and training programs.
• Provide updates to executives and governance committees.
