Job summary

AmeriLife is seeking a seasonedRisk Manager to identify, evaluate, and monitor the company’s enterprise risks across multiple categories. You will develop tools to monitor, analyze, and report on financial, operational, and information security risks, including privacy risk, ensuring compliance with regulations and protecting affiliates.

You will craft risk management policies and frameworks guiding risk appetite and assessment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7–10 years relevant experience in insurance, securities, or risk/compliance fields.
• Experience with risk management, internal audit, or regulatory controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement risk management strategy to identify, assess, and mitigate enterprise risk.
• Collaborate with business units to identify, document, and monitor risks.
• Develop an Enterprise Risk Management framework for senior management to understand risks.
• Create policies and procedures for risk assessment, issue management, and risk appetite.
• Perform periodic reviews and prepare reports for senior management.
• Establish key risk indicators and thresholds to monitor risk levels.
• Provide risk management training to promote a risk-aware culture.
• Participate in vendor and carrier risk oversight.
