Job Title: Director of Pricing Strategy - 100% Remote

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Director of Pricing Strategy to manage and execute our pricing strategy effectively. You will be responsible for recommending and adjusting pricing, implementing initiatives, analyzing and communicating impacts on net margin, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure optimal pricing outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute pricing strategy, recommend and adjust pricing, and implement initiatives.
  • Understand, analyze, and communicate impacts on net margin, including COGs, freight rates, PAs, and marketing/merchandising activities.
  • Recommend and understand low limit guardrails as per enterprise sales and margin strategy.
  • Manage factors impacting margin such as investment spend, below NET sales, and contract pricing profitability.
  • Provide guidance on balancing margin impact of promotional pricing.
  • Manage escalated pricing queries from Pricing Manager or associates.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership on pricing strategy training.
  • Educate departments on downstream impact of cost and pricing decisions.
  • Provide pricing recommendations for bids and new customer pricing.
  • Identify opportunities for product and category pricing improvement, perform root cause analysis, and deliver strategic recommendations.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the Pricing Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 8 years of strategic pricing experience in relevant roles.
  • Previous leadership experience at manager or director level.
  • Strong managerial experience with individual direct reports or teams.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Direct interaction and collaboration with C-suite executives.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to execute strategy.
  • Proven experience working with and supporting sales teams; strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to access information within established pricing databases and analyze available data.
  • Familiarity with strategic pricing software.
Work Environment

This role is 100% remote with a preference for candidates located in the Chicagoland area. There is a requirement for 10% travel to tradeshows across the US. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $165000.00/yr.
