Job summary

Stony Brook University Hospital’s Heart Institute seeks a Director or Associate Director for its Preventive and Wellness Cardiology Program. Lead a comprehensive, data-driven effort integrating lifestyle medicine, genetics, imaging and digital health to prevent cardiometabolic disease, with a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.

Teach and mentor fellows and residents, participate in research, QI and implementation science.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or MD/PhD degree required or foreign equivalent.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine and CV disease.
• Interest in academic medicine, teaching and program development.

Responsibilities

• Lead a novel preventive and wellness cardiology program.
• Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and students.
• Develop outreach, education, and research in prevention and outcomes.
• Oversee interdisciplinary care including lifestyle, genetics, imaging and digital health.
