Stony Brook University seeks an Director or Associate Director of our Sports Cardiology Program within The Heart Institute at Stony Brook University Hospital. The role focuses on developing a comprehensive sports cardiology service with outpatient and inpatient care, for both competitive and recreational athletes.

The successful academic clinical cardiologist will contribute to teaching, mentorship, and research, with protected imaging time and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/MD-PhD with board certification in Cardiovascular disease.
• Board certified in Internal Medicine.
• Strong background or formal training in sports cardiology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a comprehensive sports cardiology service.
• Provide outpatient and inpatient care for athletes and active individuals.
• Mentor fellows and residents and contribute to teaching.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including orthopedics.
