Job summary

iSuite L.L.C. in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Director of Preconstruction to lead pursuit activities for mechanical contracting projects.

This senior role owns each opportunity from acknowledgement through contract signing, coordinating a cross‑functional team of estimating, engineering, and operations. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in preconstruction, estimating, or project management, with deep HVAC and plumbing knowledge, and proven negotiation and client‑facing skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience leading cross‑functional pursuit teams.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Proven track record in preconstruction, estimating, or PM.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and negotiation.
• Proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam/Navisworks, CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Own each assigned pursuit from opportunity acknowledgement through contract signing.
• Build and manage the pursuit plan and bid schedule with cross‑functional team.
• Review design documents for scope gaps, constructability, and cost.
• Develop cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Lead front‑end terms, and negotiate contract terms with clients.
• Provide transition package to Operations at award.
