Key Responsibilities

Strategic Preconstruction Leadership

• Lead the preconstruction function with accountability for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee conceptual, schematic, and design-development budgeting for large, complex commercial and institutional projects.
• Advise stakeholders on project delivery methodologies.
• Ensure all preconstruction deliverables align with the organisation's values.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a senior point of contact for clients, construction managers, consultants, subcontractors, and project partners.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships based on trust, transparency, and consistent performance.
• Support repeat business opportunities and strategic account growth.
• Represent the business at industry events, networking functions, and pursuit meetings.
• Present and communicate complex proposals, budgets, and project strategies to a range of stakeholders.

Estimating & Preconstruction Operations

• Oversee the preparation of conceptual estimates, hard bids, negotiated proposals, and budget validations.
• Review scopes, quantity take-offs, pricing strategies, and project assumptions.
• Ensure all preconstruction deliverables, including logistics plans, schedules, general conditions, and clarifications, are complete and accurate.
• Lead collaboration between estimating, design, operations, and business development teams.
• Identify constructability considerations, cost risks, and value engineering opportunities.
• Guide bid strategy, procurement approaches, and pursuit decisions.
• Ensure a seamless transition from preconstruction to project delivery teams.

• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing preconstruction team.
