Job summary

Elite Executive Solutions is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Leader to guide preconstruction strategy and execution for large-scale electrical construction projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth market.

You will lead conceptual and detailed estimates, budgeting, cost analysis, and constructability reviews, while mentoring teams and coordinating with operations, engineering, procurement, and executives to pursue and deliver complex projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in electrical construction estimating, preconstruction, or leadership.
• Proven leadership within a commercial electrical contractor or similar org.
• Strong grasp of electrical systems, design practices, and cost analysis.

About The Job Electrical Preconstruction Leader

Preconstruction Leader (Electrical Construction) – Dallas, TX

Elite Executive Solutions is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Preconstruction Leader to lead preconstruction strategy and execution for a growing electrical construction organization in the Dallas–Fort Worth market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction activities for large-scale electrical construction projects from initial pursuit through project turnover.
• Oversee conceptual estimating, detailed estimates, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Lead estimating and preconstruction teams while establishing consistent processes and best practices.
• Review drawings, specifications, design documents, and project requirements to identify scope, risk, and opportunities.
• Develop conceptual budgets and provide cost guidance throughout design development.
• Lead value engineering and constructability reviews to improve project cost, schedule, and execution.
• Coordinate closely with operations, project management, field leadership, engineering, procurement, and executive leadership.
• Participate in project pursuits, proposal development, interviews, and client presentations.
• Evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing and support strategic procurement decisions.
• Identify project risks, scope gaps, and potential cost impacts before construction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, engineers, design partners, and key vendors.
• Support the transition of awarded projects from preconstruction and estimating into operations.
• Mentor and develop estimating and preconstruction professionals while helping build a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical construction estimating, preconstruction, or project leadership experience.
• Proven leadership experience within a commercial electrical contractor or electrical construction organization.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, estimating, budgeting, and project delivery.
• Experience leading preconstruction efforts on large and technically complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of conceptual estimating, design-build, design-assist, value engineering, and constructability.
• Ability to evaluate project risk and develop effective preconstruction strategies.
• Strong client-facing, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with data center, mission-critical, advanced technology, or other large-scale electrical projects preferred.
