Qualifications

• Master’s degree is required.
• M.D. or Ph.D. in a science discipline is preferred.
• 8–10 years’ experience advising undergraduate students.
• Prior managerial experience is required.
• Knowledge of health professions admission practices and trends.
• Ability to build relationships with students, alumni, faculty and campus partners.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Understanding Georgetown’s Jesuit identity.

Responsibilities

• Designs, coordinates and oversees a pre-health advising program for the university.
• Manages the Early Acceptance Program with Georgetown University School of Medicine.
• Chairs the Pre-Medical Recommendation Committee and edits letters of recommendation for health-professions school applicants.
• Maintains close working relationships with admissions deans of health professions schools.
• Coordinates and manages the work of the pre-health advising team.
