Job summary

State of Georgia seeks a Practical Nursing Instructor at Georgia Piedmont Technical College on a full-time basis. The position is a 12-month faculty role located at DeKalb/Newton Campuses, reporting to the Dean.

You will provide theory and hands-on instruction to prepare students for the Practical Nursing profession, with day/evening classes and 12-hour clinical rotations. Qualifications include a BSN with Georgia RN license and CPR certification; 5+ years in medical-surgical nursing in the last

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; RN license in Georgia
• Master’s degree in Nursing preferred
• Current CPR certification required to teach clinical courses
• Extensive Medical-Surgical nursing experience (5+ years) required within last seven years

Responsibilities

• Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credit courses.
• Develops program goals, objectives, and syllabi.
• Evaluates student progress toward goals.
• Maintains required documentation and administrative reports.
• Attends staff development, workshops, and conferences.
• Ensures safety and compliance in the training area.
