Job summary

Standex International, a global growth company, seeks a Director of Engineering for the Standex Electronics EDGE team to lead Endurance Design and Power Magnetics efforts. You will oversee engineers, drive programs from concept to launch, and coordinate cross-functional activities across sites.

You will guide requirements, risk assessment, and engineering execution, partnering with customers and teams to shape feasible solutions and meet cost, quality, and manufacturability targets.

Qualifications

• At least five years of senior engineering management experience in a design and manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; advanced degree a plus.
• Ability to work in ITAR/CUI environment (U.S. Person or export license).
• Knowledge of transformer/inductor, power electronics, and power magnetics is a plus.
• Experience recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a multidisciplinary design team across mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Drive EVT/DVT/PVT phases to prototype and production launch.
• Own department goals, tools, systems, and processes to support workflows.
• Define engineering roadmaps, align with business objectives, and manage KPIs.
• Plan staffing, resources, schedules, and cross-site coordination.
• Apply lean, RCCA, A3 problem solving, and Kaizen to improve performance.
