Job summary

Standex Electronics, a leader in sensing, switching, and power magnetics, seeks a Director of Engineering to lead the Endurance Design Team for Power Magnetics. You will oversee a cross-functional engineering organization, drive EVT/DVT to production, and shape technology roadmaps while improving processes and performance across multiple sites.

The role requires senior engineering management experience, a Bachelor's in Engineering, and knowledge of Lean, RCCA, and ISO/AS9100; ITAR/CUI experience

Qualifications

• Senior engineering management experience in design/manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; advanced degree a plus.
• ITAR/CUI environment experience.
• Knowledge of ISO/AS9100.
• Experience leading large engineering teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute engineering department goals aligned to EDGE policy deployment.
• Lead a multidisciplinary design team including Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
• Drive EVT phase of the NP I process and support DVT/PVT to production launch.
• Oversee tools, systems, and processes enabling workflows and compliance.
• Provide technical leadership across power magnetics programs and customer engagement.
• Shape proposals with stakeholders and translate needs into practical solutions.
• Define KPIs, drive performance improvements, and manage staffing and priorities.
