Job summary

Spencer Ogden is seeking a Director of Engineering – Power Infrastructure to lead the engineering for large-scale power projects including data centres. The role covers from early development through construction support, with emphasis on behind-the-meter generation, battery storage and hybrid power solutions.

You will steer multi-disciplinary teams, review designs and contracts, and collaborate with EPCs, OEMs and utilities to ensure successful delivery and scalable engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in power generation or energy infrastructure.
• Experience with gas generation, turbines, engines, fuel cells and/or BESS.
• Strong EPC/EPCM and large-project delivery experience.
• Comfortable working across engineering, development and commercial teams.
• Strong communicator with commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and engineering across power projects
• Assess project feasibility, risk and constructability
• Work with EPCs, OEMs, utilities and external engineering partners
• Review technical designs, equipment selections and engineering contracts
• Support procurement, commercial discussions and project delivery
• Develop engineering standards and repeatable project solutions
