Job summary

Spencer Ogden is seeking a Vice President, Energy Infrastructure to lead the development and execution of power strategy across a portfolio of large-scale digital campuses. The role covers generation, electrical infrastructure, storage, EPC delivery and long-term operational readiness across development, engineering, construction, finance and operations.

The candidate will define power strategies, evaluate grid and onsite solutions, and lead gas generation, turbines and battery storage

Qualifications

• 8+ years across power generation, utilities, energy infrastructure, EPC or large-load infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of gas generation and electrical infrastructure.
• Track record delivering complex energy projects through construction and commissioning.
• Experience with utility interconnection, substations and major EPC partners.
• Strong commercial understanding of CAPEX, lifecycle cost and project economics.
• Able to translate complex technical issues into clear executive recommendations.
• Digital infrastructure, data center or mission-critical experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute power strategies across large-scale digital infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate grid, onsite and hybrid generation solutions.
• Lead development of gas generation, turbines, reciprocating engines, backup power and emerging energy technologies.
• Oversee substations, HV/MV distribution, transformers, switchgear, protection, controls and interconnection strategy.
• Support natural gas, pipeline, fuel redundancy and long-term supply solutions.
• Evaluate battery storage, renewables, microgrids and behind-the-meter solutions.
• Lead owner-side oversight of major EPC projects from development through commissioning.
• Develop procurement strategies for long-lead equipment and reduce supply-chain risk.
• Partner with utilities, EPC contractors, OEMs, developers and strategic infrastructure partners.
