Job summary

San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) seeks a Director, Position Control, to lead staffing allocation, budget alignment and compliance across departments. You will maintain FTE records, develop allocation models and monitor ratios to support fiscal stewardship.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in business or related field (master’s preferred) and at least four years in position control or budgeting, with knowledge of CA Education Code and HRIS such as PeopleSoft or SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Four years of experience in position control, budget management, or staffing allocation in a large organization.
• Knowledge of Education Code, policies, and collective bargaining agreements.

Responsibilities

• Manage district position control system and FTE records.
• Develop staffing allocation models aligned with budgets.
• Collaborate with Budget Services to align staffing with budgets.
• Provide training on position control processes.
