Job summary

Hover is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Engineering to lead Core UX, Growth, and Billing Systems, shaping the foundation of Hover’s customer experiences. You will drive a seamless platform and empower a product-led growth strategy for small businesses, aligning engineering with business outcomes.

You will own the strategy for signup, authentication, organization and team management, and pricing systems, building a high-performing org and leveraging AI to accelerate value for customers.

Qualifications

• Significant experience building customer-facing software at scale.
• Proven ability leading multiple engineering teams.
• Strong product and business judgment in decisions.
• T-shaped leadership across frontend, backend, data, architecture, reliability, security.
• Experience guiding cross-functional problem solving and multi-year strategy.
• Genuine curiosity about AI and applying new capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering strategy for Hover's shared customer experiences (signup, auth, orgs, roles, permissions, sharing, account management).
• Build self-service growth engine with Product, Design, Data, Marketing, and GTM; reduce friction across acquisition to retention.
• Lead Billing Systems for plans, entitlements, subscriptions, payments, and pricing in collaboration with Finance and GTM.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Legal to drive outcomes and set engineering direction.
• Develop a high-performing org and apply AI to both what we build and how we build it.
