Job summary

Hover is looking for a Director or Senior Director of Engineering to lead Core UX, Growth, and Billing Systems. You will shape the engineering strategy for a seamless customer experience, drive a self-service growth engine, and own the systems powering plans, pricing, and payments.

You will build a high-performing organization, apply your product and business judgment, and explore AI-driven improvements from onboarding to activation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading customer-facing software at scale and guiding multiple engineering teams.
• Proven track record of building high-performing engineering orgs through hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Strong product, business, and technical judgment with accountability for outcomes.
• Ability to collaborate with Product, Design, Data, Marketing, and GTM to drive growth and value.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering strategy for core UX, growth, and billing systems to deliver a cohesive product experience.
• Build and scale a self-service growth engine with cross-functional partners to reduce friction in acquisition, activation, and retention.
• Lead Billing Systems for plans, entitlements, subscriptions, payments, and pricing in collaboration with Finance and GTM.
• Shape engineering culture, hire and coach leaders, and maintain structure aligned to business needs.
• Explore AI opportunities to transform onboarding, personalization, and support.
