Job summary

nTop is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the engineering organization behind our product platform, including modeling, rendering, simulation, and distributed computing. You will report to the CTO, build a leadership team of engineering managers, and own how the platform roadmap is executed.

This newly created role drives a zero-to-one AI-assisted software development lifecycle, partnering with AI and hardware partners to accelerate delivery while continuing to support existing customers.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading engineering organizations with multiple teams.
• Proven track record making an engineering organization faster in planning, building, testing or shipping.
• Delivered a new product from zero to one while keeping existing products healthy.
• Hands-on experience leading AI-assisted development adoption and understanding its impact on process, staffing and quality.
• Sufficient technical depth to converse credibly with experts in geometry, GPU computing, physics simulation, or distributed systems.
• Exceptional prioritization and decision-making under ambitious timelines.

Responsibilities

• Own execution of the platform roadmap by turning CTO guidance into engineering plans with clear ownership and sequencing.
• Lead and grow the engineering management team with coaching and disciplined project management.
• Drive the shift to AI-assisted development across the platform organization.
• Make the end-to-end engineering process faster from idea to shipped software.
• Deliver zero-to-one and one-to-n simultaneously while keeping existing products healthy.
• Partner with Product to align feasibility, sequencing and risk.
• Represent platform engineering to CTO, R&D leadership, and the company.
