Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior infrastructure leader to own the enterprise platform engineering roadmap and modernization efforts across data centers, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will guide Windows/Linux, virtualization, compute, and storage operations while driving automation, IaC, and platform standardization to secure and optimize critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology field.
• 10+ years of progressive infrastructure engineering experience.
• 5+ years in leadership managing infra and engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, data centers, and DR.
• Experience leading large-scale infra transformation and modernization.
• Strong networking, compute, storage, virtualization, and cloud architecture knowledge.
• Experience with large budgets and regulated industries preferred.
• Certifications in Azure or AWS preferred; IaC tools experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise platform engineering roadmap and infrastructure strategy.
• Lead design, management, and modernization of data centers, colocation, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Oversee Windows, Linux, virtualization, compute, storage, backup, and platform engineering ops.
• Drive cloud adoption, infrastructure automation, IaC, and platform standardization.
• Establish disaster recovery, business continuity, and resiliency strategies for critical systems.
• Partner with Cybersecurity, EA, Applications, Data & Analytics, and Operations teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Optimize infrastructure performance, reliability, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and multimillion-dollar budgets.
• Lead and develop high-performing engineering teams with focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

• Develop and execute the enterprise platform engineering roadmap and infrastructure strategy
• Lead the design, management, and modernization of data centers, colocation facilities, cloud platforms, and hybrid infrastructure environments
• Oversee Windows, Linux, virtualization, compute, storage, backup, and platform engineering operations
• Drive cloud adoption, infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and platform standardization initiatives
• Establish and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and resiliency strategies for mission-critical systems
• Partner with Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, Application Development, Data & Analytics, and Operations teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions
• Optimize infrastructure performance, reliability, availability, and cost efficiency
• Manage strategic vendor relationships, contracts, and multimillion-dollar infrastructure budgets
• Lead and develop high-performing engineering teams while fostering innovation, automation, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive infrastructure engineering experience
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing infrastructure and engineering teams
• Deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, data centers, colocation services, virtualization, disaster recovery, and platform resiliency
• Experience leading large-scale infrastructure transformation and modernization initiatives
• Strong understanding of networking, compute, storage, virtualization, and cloud architecture
• Experience managing large operational and capital budgets
• Healthcare or highly regulated industry experience preferred
• Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or similar certifications preferred
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible preferred
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and infrastructure integrations preferred
