The American Cancer Society is seeking a Planned Giving Director for a permanently remote role based in the United States, with travel to designated territories. The role focuses on securing deferred gifts such as bequests, trusts, and annuities, through donor cultivation and professional advisor engagement.

The position reports to the Development team and requires strong relationship management, negotiation, and knowledge of estate/gifting techniques, tax law, and strategic fundraising.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• CAP and CFRE certificates preferred.
• 3+ years nonprofit fundraising or related donor-relations experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Reliable internet connection.

Responsabilidades

• Meet with prospects, donors, and advisors to share information about the planned giving program.
• Grow and manage a portfolio through moves management stages: identification, cultivation, solicitation, execution, stewardship.
• Achieve annual targets for visits, proposals, and new planned gift commitments.
• Utilize Salesforce to track and report prospect and donor activity.
• Collaborate with philanthropy colleagues to expand blended gift proposals.
• Stay current on estate/gifting techniques and applicable tax laws and trends.
• Remain knowledgeable about ACS's cancer research, patient support, prevention, and education work.
• Model collaboration aligned with the Society's values.
