Job summary

The Crossroads YMCA is seeking a Director of Pickleball to lead and grow our pickleball programming at the Sportscenter. You will teach, coach, and develop programs, while building a welcoming community for players of all levels.

This role combines program leadership, staff supervision, and daily facility operations to deliver engaging experiences. You'll manage leagues, clinics, events, and rentals, and work across departments to promote member engagement and retention, using technology to

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of related pickleball experience.
• Advanced pickleball mastery with the ability to teach and coach others.
• Experience with pickleball software or the ability to quickly learn and become proficient with program management systems.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff, members, and leadership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
• Ability to respond effectively to safety concerns and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pickleball programming: open play, leagues, tournaments, lessons, clinics, and special events.
• Develop new programs and social opportunities that meet member needs and grow participation.
• Support pickleball events, rentals, and activities at the Sportscenter and across the association.
• Member engagement: build relationships, support membership growth and retention.
• Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, and supervise pickleball staff; provide coaching and evaluations.
• Manage scheduling, communication, and software systems; ensure policies and safety procedures are followed.
