Job summary

SPORTIME Pickleball Long Island is seeking a motivated pickleball coach to develop and implement instructional, recreational and competitive programming for members and guests, maximizing court revenue and maintaining our high service standards.

You will recruit, train, and schedule coaching staff, promote club programs, and communicate play opportunities, ensuring a welcoming environment during lessons, clinics, leagues, and events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years playing and/or coaching pickleball.
• Knowledge of the pickleball industry.
• Ability to design and develop programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Team building, motivational and leadership skills.
• Strong administrative and computer skills.
• Excellent people skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-court instruction and supervision for lessons, clinics, leagues, open play sessions and special events.
• Develop and sell new and existing pickleball programs to members and guests.
• Communicate with players about programs, promotions, member benefits and other play opportunities at the club.
• Interact with players during social play to create a welcoming environment.
• Recruit, train and schedule pickleball coaching staff.
• Understand financial goals and work to achieve them.
• Promote other products and services of our company.
• Attend staff meetings and special events when required.
