Job summary

Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Director of Pharmacy to lead the Pharmacy department, ensuring safe and effective medication use across the organization. You will manage daily operations, clinical services, and staff development while aligning with regulatory standards and quality improvement initiatives.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and leadership to optimize patient care, manage budgets, and drive program enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
• 3-5 years of experience in closely related field with Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years of previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all inpatient pharmacy operations, including dispensing, inventory, and regulatory compliance.
• Mentors and develops pharmacy staff to improve performance.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to implement pharmaceutical care plans.
• Establishes quality controls and monitors medication use for patient safety.
• Develops and enforces pharmacy policies to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
• Assists in budgeting and cost management for medication use.
